Demi Lovato is a motherfucking CHAMP. [Also I may or may not be watching Camp Rock right now.]

Demi. <3

I love her.

i watched a few episodes of shake it up! and it was really disgusting. they got this little kid womanizing on teenage girls. teaching other young boys to ignore what girls got to say and just pretend to listen in order to get what you want from them. shit was disgusting. and now i am hearing about this joke? aw hale no.

ok, on the one hand, i agree with her. shit like what was on ‘Shake It Up’ is unacceptable. it doesn’t matter that SIU writers didn’t mean to offend anyone, because the fact is that they’re grown ass men and women. they should know better than to poke fun at something that’s a very serious issue and not something to make light of. they need to take into account how many young people suffer from eating disorders/negative body image and how easily a line like that can trigger those. there’s no excuse for their poor choices, and i’m glad that episode got pulled.

on the other hand, she should’ve left out the bottom left tweet. it’s implied that, since it’s still in the context of Disney & SIU, that’s she’s referring to the new generation of Disney girls (focusing mostly on Bella Thorne & Zendaya, who are both very young and also skinny) as getting “THINNER AND THINNER” and that the previous Disney girls (Raven & Hilary Duff) who were curvy or just of average size were better. i’m sure she meant no harm by it (NGL, That’s So Raven & Lizzie McGuire were my shit), but this is a form of body shaming that needs to be stopped just as badly as making light of serious issues like EDs. bringing up the fact that these new girls are skinny and the previous generation that the previous generation she misses (both starring girls who happen to be curvier) was somehow better was completely uncalled for and, if i heard right, caused these new girls to be harassed via twitter with Demi fans telling them to “eat a burger” and unnecessary shit like that. there’s no superior body type. women come in all races, shapes, sizes, etc. hell, some women have penises too. women are beautiful, period.

more or less fat on your body doesn’t make you more or less of a woman.

you wanna talk about how proud you are of your skinny or toned or curvy or fat or muscular body? more power to you, ultimate respect. there’s still no reason to shove your own personal views of beauty down other peoples throats. we need to stop with all this body shaming bullshit because frankly, it’s a large part of what drives people into eating disorders in the first place. just fucking stop.

"The day I first met you, you told me you’d never fall in love. But now that I get you, I know fear is what it really was."

think you made your greatest mistake
i’m not gonna call this a break
think you really blew it this time
think you could walk on such a thin line
won’t be taking your midnight calls
ignore the rocks you’ve thrown at my walls
i see it written on your face
you know you made it
your greatest mistake

i hope you ache, ache, ache

my love’s like a star, yeah
you can’t always see me
but you know that i’m always there
when you see one shining
take it, it’s mine
and remember, i’m always near
if you see a comet, baby i’m on it
making my way back home
just follow the glow
yeah, it won’t be long
just know that you’re not alone

it’s not about the time that we don’t get to spend together
it’s about how strong our love is when i’m gone and it feels like forever <3

“The story behind the song Here We Go Again is about just letting somebody get back into your heart. You know, I’m the type of girl when if I break up with somebody,  I’m like ‘oh it’s over!’, there’s no turning back. But then sometimes you find yourself still feeling for the person, or the person comes back around, or you go back around to them and it’s just like, oh here we go again.”
